Pigeon Point Artisans Redwood Retreat is inspired by the return to nature. This residency is targeted to artists seeking a retreat from their existing art practice and environment. Artists applying to this residency are strongly encouraged to create work that is inspired by the grounds and is reflective upon their experience under the Redwood canopy.

  • Arcata Airport – transportation to and from the Arcata Airport (United Airlines)
  • Vehicle – one day per week
  • Cabin – bed, heating, water, mini outdoor kitchen
  • Redwood Gallery – for artwork display and creation

  • Additional eligibility information: Open to national and international artists working in the disciplines of Visual Arts (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, mixed-media, etc.), Media Arts/New Genres (film, video installation, interactive web based, sound, and performance art), Literature (prose, poetry, and playwriting), Music Composition, and Choreography. The Program strives for a wide range of applicants and accepts artists of diverse backgrounds, career stages, ages, and geographical origin.
